Come and See
Welcome to St. Aidan's Ministries; an outreach ministry of the Anglican Network in Canada In the Anglican tradition the following four bible verses
are known as the Comfortable Words. If one of these verses or something in my
commentary stirs you in any way, I hope you will “Come and See” what God has to offer you, here at St. Aidan's Ministries. |
Matthew 11:28 (KJV) Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
God invited everyone, including you. Have you have been wondering about this God stuff but didn’t know where
to start? Maybe your mind, body or spirit searching for a place to rest.
– I invite you to Come and See.
John 3:16 (NIV) "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Most everyone, religious or not, has heard or will hear
these words some time in their life. So popular are these words that one man by
the name of Max Lucado wrote an entire book dedicated to understanding that
sentence. You might say, "Who cares?"
– I invite you to Come and See.
1 Timothy 1:15 (ICB) What I say is true, and you should fully accept it: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. And I am the worst of those sinners.
Perhaps you are thinking, “I’m a good person. As long as I'm not bothering anyone else, what difference does it make?” The answer to that question might surprise you.
– I invite you to Come and See.
1 John 2:1-2 (ESV) 1 My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
Are you wondering, “Why should anybody care what I do?" ... or worse yet, you might be thinking "Nobody cares what I do." We care!
In the name of Jesus I pray you will - Come and See
